Sauna Genève was created to bring authentic Nordic sauna culture to the heart of Geneva during the winter season.
Founded by a Finn who grew up with sauna as part of everyday life, we wanted to share not just the heat, but the spirit, rituals, and sense of community that make sauna so unique.
Our home is in Pregny-Chambésy, right next to the International Tennis Club Geneva close to Bellevue – a place known for sport, wellness, and an international community. It’s the perfect setting to combine tradition with modern life in Geneva and to experience an authentic Finnish sauna at Sauna Geneva.

In Finland, sauna is not just a Finnish wellness trend – it is a way of life. The heart of the experience is löyly: the steam that rises when water hits the stones, carrying with it a sense of calm, connection, and renewal.

Aufguss
In Central Europe, the tradition of Aufguss has grown: sauna masters perform guided rituals with essential oils, music, and movement, turning the steam into a sensory performance. At Sauna Genève (Sauna Geneva), we bring these two traditions together – Nordic calm and Central European artistry – in sessions that are both grounding and uplifting.
Authentic Sauna Experience
Inspired by the long Finnish winters, we wanted to bring the tradition of gathering around the sauna to Geneva, creating a space where people can slow down and reconnect.
Our wood-fired sauna creates a softer, more authentic heat. Every detail is designed to reflect the Nordic philosophy of wellbeing – simplicity, nature, and community.

A Sauna with a Story
Our sauna has already been part of international celebrations. In 2025, Finnish sauna culture joined Eurovision festivities in Basel, when the Finland-Swedish comedy group KAJ performed their quirky, sauna-themed hit “Bara Bada Bastu (Just have a Sauna) representing Sweden. The same benches that welcomed fans now welcome you here at Sauna Geneva.
A True Finnish Sauna
Our sauna was manufactured by Lapelland Finland Oy, a world leader in mobile saunas, and brought to Switzerland through Sorglos Design AG in Roggwil. We’re grateful for their support in making Sauna Geneva possible.

Sauna Genève chose Pregny-Chambésy for a reason. This is a place where people value sport, health, and community – and with the International Tennis Club Geneva just next door, it’s easy to move from court to sauna, from fitness to relaxation.
The Sauna Geneve location is also only minutes from the city center, the airport, and the United Nations district, making it a convenient escape for both locals and international visitors.

Saunageneve is located directly behind Restaurant Le Tie-Break, making it simple to combine your sauna experience with a good meal or a drink. Free parking, easy access, and nearby services make the experience comfortable and complete.
You can reach us with Bus 20 stop Pregny-Penthes which is only a 2 minute walk from our location.
And because our sauna is a seasonal winter sauna (October to March/early April), every visit feels special: the contrast of hot steam and cold air creates the most authentic Finnish atmosphere in Switzerland.
